Here at Inspire Tuition we are bursting with pride this week. The GCSEs kicked off for the vast majority with Welsh on Friday 13th (you couldn’t make it up) and we are ready.
You have all worked SO HARD it would be impossible to be any prouder of each and every one of you.
This week make sure you
•sleep well
•eat well
•drink lots of water
•plan your revision and stick to it
•get some fresh air and exercise
When you open your exam
•read each question carefully (make sure you answer the examiner’s question; especially in maths, check you do what has actually been asked)
•don’t spend too long on one section, think about the amount of marks for each question and time yourself accordingly
•show your workings, give units
•look at how many marks each question is worth, it will give you an indication of how much detail an answer requires
•stay calm, there are often a couple of awful questions, don’t panic, take a deep breath and find and do a ‘nice’ one first
•if you finish with time to spare. Do not think ‘phew’ and close the exam, use every single second to check and re-check and then check it again!
